Movies about obsession can range in genre from comedies to horror-from cautionary tales, like Fatal Attraction, to societal critiques, like Ingrid Goes West-but they all explore a similar theme: when does obsession become dangerous? When do love and devotion become stalking instead of romance? And why, oh why, are stalkers in movies so attractive? (OK, that last one isn’t a common theme, but if you watch some of the movies with stalkers on this list, trust me, it’s a question that’ll keep you up at night.) Some actually call it out or at least name it for what it is: stalking. But not all movies celebrate such creepy behavior. Being so obsessed with your best friend’s bride that their entire wedding video is just close-ups of her face becomes endearing in Love Actually.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently streaming on Netflix. Threatening to throw yourself off of a ferris wheel becomes a charming anecdote in The Notebook. Where to watch: All nine movies in the Skywalker Saga ( Episode I to Episode IX ) are streaming on Disney+, along with the standalone films Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. But those thoughts are momentarily set aside when the two finds themselves accused of murder and in the middle of a baffling mystery. From some of the same people who made Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes this adventure to save the world. Jibran and Leilani have been dating for four years, but feel that their relationship has reached its expiration date and is coming to an end. Of course these letters end up being sent out and Lara Jean must deal with her feelings, and the implications of the letters, head on. And yet, some romantic movies can blur the line between love and obsession. the Machines (2021) One of the best family movies on Netflix. It's one thing to be completely enamored with someone and so deeply in love that you see them through emoji heart eyes, but it's a whole other thing if that infatuation morphs into a dangerous obsession.
